Beauty Find: Power Peel by Ole Henriksen
Happy Monday! Hope everyone is recovering from watching the Super Bowl last night, or should I say JT Concert with a football game on the side :) Overall, that was an excellent game to watch and we had fun with friends eating all the Super Bowl snacks.
Today I am sharing the Ole Henriksen Power Peel, one of my favorite at home facials! I received several samples (pictured above) after purchasing some products from Ole, and fell in love with this particular one. The normal package is around $50 for a pack of 6. I would recommend using this product once a month, which would make the set last longer. However, some swear by it weekly. I love how it makes my skin feel, and you instantly see results!
Step 1: Almond Polish Facial Scrub: This exfoliating scrub helps to clear the dead skin cells and smooth out skin texture. I love the smell of this product, and it already starts to help you relax. The scrub is a mix of oat kernel flour, and almond and bamboo extracts. After cleansing, apply this to your damp clean face and gently massage in upward circle for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse clean.
Step 2: Instant Transformation Lemon Facial Peel: This peel contains glycolic and lactic acid to help smooth skin texture, and give you a brightening glow by reducing discoloration. Note a tingling sensation is normal, even with sensitive skin. Don't rinse, leave this on for 2 minutes and then you will put step 3 over the peel.
Step 3: Chamomile Comfort Mask: You instantly feel the comforting effects of this mask as you put it on over the lemon peel. These work together to comfort and illuminate your skin. This mask is a mix of chamomile, kaolin clay and botanical oil fusion, and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. The feel of your skin when you wash this off is amazing! My skin instantly felt smooth and was not bright red like some treatments will do. I have even done this before applying makeup and it's safe to do so.
I highly recommend this product be added to your beauty regimen, you will love the "at home facial" feel. And it doesn't take more than about 25 minutes, giving you some self care "me time". For those of us with sensitive skin, I have found that it does not irritate, however, like most facial treatments, make sure you wear sunscreen and be careful using other face treatments for a week afterwards. I found the lemon peel and chamomile mask sold separately, the almond facial scrub is only in the packet. However, I did find their Facial Sauna Scrub. You could combine the three at home to see if it gives you similar results!
Do you have any favorite facial "at home" treatments?!
